I use a 2025 14" M4 Pro Macbook Pro from work and M4 Mac Mini. They are connected to a 27" 1440p 165Hz Dell monitor. Also connected to the monitor is a PC that I built myself with: a Ryzen 5600X CPU, an RX 9070 XT GPU, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM encased in a nice, white Lian Li Lancool 206 case, that has way better airflow than my previous case. This choice was made with the help of Gamers Nexus YouTube channel. The PC runs Bazzite Linux and it's used just for gaming.
The keyboard is a NuPhy Halo75 V2 that looks and feels great (replaced my Yunzii AL71 mechanical keyboard that sounded gorgeous when typed on); I would never go back to mushy silicone dome keyboards. I use a Razer Basilisk V3 PRO as my mouse. I like the precision that high dpi gaming mice have, and, in this case, the freespin scroll wheel. Under it I have a cheap Steelseries mousepad that's a bit old but it's still in good shape. For sound I use a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50XBT headphones and as input, a Genesis Radium 300 XLR microphone, connected through a Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface. I also have a pair Pixel Buds Pro (used to be my wife's) that sound pretty good, a pair of Earfun Air Pro 4 earbuds, that are ok for their price but wouldn't recommend. I used them all in various percentages.
My phone is an iPhone 15 Pro with a black Decoded leather case. I'm trying to keep it at least for 4 years.
My main design software is Figma, but I'm looking into Penpot as replacement. For other design work I use Affinity Design and Affinity Photo, and for editing photos I use Capture One; I'm glad to be off Adobe ☠️. For design hand over I use Zeplin (but Penpot could do this job as well), and for projects organization / to do lists I use Agenda.
My browser of choice is Zen which is based on Firefox. For code editing I use Visual Studio Code (switched from Pulsar because it was slow), iTerm for terminal, Bitwarden for password management, Spotify for music streaming, Pocket Casts for podcasts. I edit my woodworking videos using DaVinci Resolve. IINA is my preferred video player on the Mac, and VLC on Linux. OBS is what I use for screen recording.
For local server I use MAMP. For email I use Proton Mail (not completely off Gmail tough) and Proton Drive for cloud storage. Signal is the best messaging platform and I convinced my partner and my friends to use it. But I also have Whatsapp for family members and others. Simplenote for other notes and Any.do for shopping lists mainly as I can share it with my wife.
